When we meet Jesus, our lives are changed forever. We receive life and we desire for others to receive it as well! At Passion, Door Holders are those who take great pleasure in opening the door for others to experience Jesus.

Ways to Serve

Door Holders serve in various areas at Passion 2025. Below are brief descriptions of each team.

Experience

Creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.

Hospitality

Creating a caring atmosphere for those who are serving. Hospitality sets the table and serves across the event.

Intercessors

Seeking the face of Jesus for this generation before/during/after the event.

Logistics

Organizing the details that help our teams function smoothly.

Registration

Providing an easy and seamless first experience as attendees arrive and enter the event.

Resources

Providing materials for students that allow them to continue to connect with what they see and hear throughout the event.

Security

Ensuring the safety of our attendees and team.

Special Guests

Creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless experience for invited guests.

What Is a Door Holder?

We use the term “Door Holder” instead of the word “volunteer.” The term is borrowed from Psalm 84:10, which speaks of being a door keeper in the house of God. Door Holders at Passion 2025 are individuals who have experienced God’s glory and now want to hold the door to make a way for others to enter in. This is the heart and attitude we want our Door Holders to assume– one of service in preparing the way for others to have a powerful experience with Jesus.

Door Holder is a term that encompasses all who serve at Passion gatherings– not just those who literally hold physical doors! From those who are serving around the venue to those serving from the stage, we are all Door Holders.

Door Holder Requirements

Must be 25 years or over to serve.
Must be available to serve for the entire gathering– beginning with mandatory Door Holder meeting and serving through Load-Out.
Travel, lodging, and other expenses are the responsibility of each Door Holder.
Please note that most Door Holder positions require the ability to stand or walk for 3-4 hours at a time while serving.

WHEN WILL I BE RELEASED AFTER PASSION ENDS?

For either gathering, Door Holders will serve through load-out following the last session on Day 3. Your Team Leads will release you once your load-out responsibilities are completed.

WHAT IF I AM ACCEPTED AS A DOOR HOLDER, BUT THEN UNABLE TO SERVE?

We realize that emergencies sometimes arise and alter your availability to serve. If you apply and later find out that you cannot serve, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can fill your position. Teams experience significant challenges if notice is not given, so the earlier you can let us know, the better.

IF I AM A COLLEGE PASTOR, CAN I ATTEND WITH MY STUDENTS OR SHOULD I APPLY TO BE A DOOR HOLDER?

Passion 2025 is designed for college students, high school seniors, and their leaders. If you are a college pastor, you and your students will benefit most from you participating in the gathering with them.

HOW MUCH OF THE GATHERING WILL I BE ABLE TO ATTEND?

Door Holders

Serving at Passion 2025 does not allow for much participation in the gathering itself. Please come willing to serve and fully aware that there may not be time to attend the gathering.

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?

Door Holders

We encourage Door Holders to stay near the venue due to the full schedule of Passion 2025. To assist with this we negotiate discounted hotel rates for Passion Door Holders. These hotel options will be listed in the email you receive once your Door Holder application has been processed. You are also welcome to book in any of the hotel options listed on our hotels page. We strongly advise that you wait to make any non-refundable travel plans until you receive your team assignment.

IS THERE DAILY TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED TO AND FROM THE VENUE?

All Door Holders are responsible for their own transportation to and from the venue.

WHICH MEALS ARE PROVIDED FOR DOOR HOLDERS?

Door Holders

A boxed lunch will be provided for Door Holders on Day 2. Due to a wide range of food allergies and dietary restrictions, we are unable to accommodate special requests regarding lunch. However, once lunch has been served to attendees, anyone needing to purchase other food will be released to do so.

n the days before Passion 2025, we will be preparing the environments for students and it will take several days to fully set up for Passion 2025. Pre-event and load-in serving opportunities will be shared with Door Holders later this fall.
